Chiang Mai city experience, visit temple, market and boat trip.

This private tour takes you to some of the most interesting local places in Chiang Mai City. At 9:30 am we will pick up you from your hotel. 

Firstly, we will visit one of the city’s oldest temples. You’ll enjoy sightseeing around the temple while learning about its fascinating history, Buddhist traditions, and unique architectural style from our knowledgeable guide. The temple features intricate wooden carvings and the iconic Naga serpent staircases, which are unique to temples in Northern Thailand. 

Next, we will visit the famous Warorot Market, an integral part of Chiang Mai life for over 100 years. Inside the market, you’ll discover local foods, fruits, flowers, and handmade products presented by Chiang Mai locals.

Finally, in the evening, we will take a river cruise along the Mae Ping River. Along the way, we will stop at a traditional local farmer’s house, where you can enjoy fresh fruits and admire the organic products and animals in their garden.

Visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep temple, Wat Phalat and relax at Chiang Mai Lake.

We will pick up you from your hotel at 9:30 am. and begin your journey with a visit to Chiang Mai’s most famous landmark, Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. Perched high on a mountain (1,080 meters above sea level), this sacred temple is reached by climbing 306 steps guarded by majestic Naga serpent staircases. For those who prefer, an elevator is available. Inside the temple grounds, you’ll discover holy Buddha statues, intricate murals depicting the Buddha’s past lives, and the stunning Golden Pagoda, where visitors can pay their respects. From here, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of Chiang Mai—a sight you’ll never forget.

Next, we’ll explore Wat Pha Lat, Chiang Mai’s hidden jungle temple. Once a resting place for pilgrims on their way to Doi Suthep, today it serves as a peaceful meditation retreat and residence for monks. Surrounded by lush greenery and waterfalls, it’s a true hidden gem of serenity.

Finally, unwind at the beautiful Chiang Mai Lake—a local favorite for relaxation. Settle into small bamboo huts built right over the water, enjoy delicious local dishes, and, if you wish, take a refreshing swim in the lake. It’s the perfect way to end a day of culture, nature, and relaxation.

Early morning monk Ceremony / Wat Phra That Doi Suthep / Wat UMong / Relax at the Lake.

Start your day with a truly spiritual experience. At 7:00–7:30 a.m., we join the early morning almsgiving ritual, where 20–50 monks walk barefoot to receive offerings. You’ll take part by presenting food, flowers, and daily essentials, while learning about the traditions, rules, and way of life of Buddhist monks from our knowledgeable guide. 

Next, we’ll drive up to the legendary Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, perched high on the mountain at 1,080 meters above sea level. Climb the iconic 306 Naga steps (or use the elevator) and take in the breathtaking views over Chiang Mai. Inside the temple grounds, admire sacred statues, ancient architecture, and pay your respects at the shimmering Golden Pagoda. 

Our journey continues to the unique Wat Umong, a forest temple and meditation center unlike any other. Built with mysterious underground tunnels and surrounded by peaceful nature, Wat Umong offers a deep sense of tradition and tranquility. 

For lunch, we’ll relax by the beautiful Chiang Mai Lake, where you can enjoy authentic local food in small bamboo huts built directly over the water. Take in the peaceful scenery or even go for a refreshing swim before we return to your hotel.

Doi Inthanon National Park - The Roof of Thailand.

Join us for a full-day adventure to Thailand’s highest mountain, Doi Inthanon National Park (2,565 meters above sea level). Our journey begins at 8:30 a.m. from your hotel. The first stop is the stunning Watchirathan Waterfall, one of the most beautiful in the park. 

Next, we’ll drive to the highest point of Doi Inthanon, where you can enjoy a refreshing walk along the peaceful Ang Ka Nature Trail and pay respects at the King Inthanon Memorial Shrine. 

After lunch, we’ll visit the magnificent Twin Royal Pagodas, dedicated to the King and Queen of Thailand, offering breathtaking panoramic views of mountains and countryside. The adventure continues with a 2-hour scenic hike to another hidden waterfall. Along the way, you’ll see traditional farm cottages, rice fields, and vibrant hill tribe flower farms. 

Finally, we’ll stop at a Karen hill tribe village, where you can relax at their self-sustaining organic coffee shop, meet the locals, and enjoy a fresh cup of coffee before returning to Chiang Mai. This tour combines nature, culture, and adventure an unforgettable experience at the very top of Thailand!

Elephant day and visit Bua Thong Waterfall (sticky waterfall)

At 7:00 – 7:45 a.m., staff or a guide from Retirement Elephant Park will pick you up from Joy’s House. The Retirement Elephant Park takes great pride in its strict policy on the ethical treatment of elephants — there is no riding, chaining, or any form of abuse. The park’s main goal is to care for the well-being of retired elephants.

The owner has created a sustainable and safe natural habitat, free from exploitation and neglect. At the park, elephant families are never separated, and herbal medicines are used to keep the elephants healthy and improve their quality of life. Children will have the opportunity to learn how to care for elephants, enjoy a mud spa, and bathe with the elephants.

After lunch, we will drive to the Bua Thong Waterfall, a beautiful spot where you can relax and have fun. This unique “sticky waterfall” allows you to climb directly up the rocks as water cascades down. You’ll have about 1–2 hours to relax and enjoy before returning to Joy’s House.

Note: Children under 7 years old should be closely supervised by parents, especially while at the waterfall.

Trek & White water rafting at Mae Tang Area.

This adventure takes you deep into the Mae Taeng forest, located in the upper north of Chiang Mai. We start the day at 8:30 a.m., leaving from your hotel for a scenic 50 minute drive to Mae Taeng District. From here, we begin a 45 minute trek along an easy forest trail surrounded by lush nature. The hike leads us to a beautiful waterfall, where you’ll have time to swim, relax, and enjoy the refreshing atmosphere. After a relaxing break and lunch, we hike back along the same trail (about 45 minutes).

The excitement continues with an adrenaline-pumping white water rafting adventure on the Mae Taeng River. You’ll enjoy about 50 minutes on the rapids, experiencing both thrilling waves and calm stretches of river surrounded by forest scenery. After rafting, we return to Chiang Mai in the late afternoon.

Bicycle tour Bua Thong Waterfall, Bua Thong Cave and Mae Ngad Dam.

We start the trip at 8:30 a.m. from your hotel and drive about 1 hours northeast of Chiang Mai to Bua Thong Waterfall (also known as the Sticky Waterfall). This special waterfall has a unique limestone surface that allows you to climb directly up the rocks with your bare feet and hands. At the lower level, you can relax by a small pond and enjoy the beautiful view.

After enjoying the waterfall, we continue by bicycle to Sri Lanna National Park, a ride of about 2–2.5 hours. Along the way, we stop at Bua Thong Cave, where you’ll climb 200 Naga serpent stairs to reach the entrance. Inside, you’ll be amazed by the cave’s graceful rock formations and the serene Buddha statues.

From there, we cycle onward to Mae Ngad Dam, where we take a long-tail boat across the reservoir to one of the many floating restaurants. Surrounded by mountains, forest, and tranquil water, this is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious lunch. You’ll also have time to swim or kayak before heading back to your hotel. (Life vests are required at all times, according to local regulations.)

Chiang Dao cave and water fall.

We begin our journey at 8:30 a.m., heading north to Chiang Dao City. Before exploring the cave, you will receive a Buddhist blessing ceremony from a monk, bringing luck and mental protection for the day.

Inside Chiang Dao Cave, you’ll discover stunning stalactites and stalagmites, along with exquisite Burmese-style Buddha statues carved into the rock. The cave has long been a sacred place for local Buddhists and is known as a popular meditation retreat. Within, you will see the revered statue of a Buddhist monk in meditation posture as well as a sacred reclining Burmese Buddha image.

To explore the cave safely, we will be accompanied by an expert local guide from the village, who takes pride in sharing the cave’s history, legends, and hidden details.

After lunch, we continue to a beautiful modern temple(Wat Baanden), unlike the traditional temples of northern Thailand. Its architecture is striking, with a large wooden hall and unique design elements. Inside, you’ll find Chiang Mai’s largest reclining Buddha image, a truly remarkable sight.

Our final stop is the Bua Thong Waterfall, also known as the Sticky Waterfall. Thanks to the limestone rocks, the surface provides natural friction, allowing you to climb up and down with ease (with the help of ropes). This makes for a fun and refreshing adventure surrounded by lush nature.
