This special 2-day program takes you to the Khun Wang area of Doi Inthanon National Park, a region of lush rainforest, waterfalls, and rich biodiversity. The highlight of this trip is an unforgettable interaction with elephants cared for by the Karen hill-tribe, who treat them like family under a strict “No Riding, No Hooks” policy.
Day 1: Trekking day.
8:30 a.m.: Depart from Chiang Mai and drive about 1 hour to a local market to buy supplies and fresh food for lunch in the jungle.
Continue for about 1 hour 45 minutes to the trekking starting point. Meet your local Karen guide.
Begin your trek through the rainforest, learning about native trees, plants, and wildlife from the expert guide.
Stop for a picnic lunch at Pha Dam Waterfall, surrounded by cool mountain air and lush greenery.
Visit waterfall before trekking to a Karen hill-tribe village.
Overnight stay with the Karen community, enjoying a traditional dinner and cultural exchange. You can also visiting around the Karen village in this evening.
Day 2: Elephant and Bamboo rafting day.
After breakfast, visit the Karen Elephant Home. Here, elephants are lovingly cared for as family members.
Learn how to prepare food and herbal medicine for the elephants.
Interact closely with them: feed, bathe, and walk with your new elephant friends in the jungle. (Prepare to get wet and muddy – today is your adventure with elephants!)
After lunch, enjoy a relaxing bamboo rafting experience on the river.
Return to Chiang Mai in the late afternoon.

Day 1: Trekking & Karen Village Experience
8:30 a.m.: Depart from Chiang Mai city and drive to Doi Inthanon National Park.
Begin a 3-hour trek through the jungle with a local Karen guide, who will share knowledge about plants, animals, and traditions along the trail.
Arrive at a Karen hill-tribe village and visit their organic coffee farm, learning how they cultivate coffee and live sustainably.
Meet local families, see traditional houses, and learn about their way of life, including the animals they raise for food and spiritual beliefs.
Enjoy a traditional Karen-style dinner and stay overnight in simple nature huts in the village.
Day 2: Jungle Trek & Waterfall Adventure
After breakfast, set off on the Doi Hua Seur trekking route, one of the most scenic trails in Doi Inthanon.
Along the trail, discover diverse wildlife, insects, giant trees, and medicinal herbs.
Stop for lunch in the jungle.
Visit a beautiful waterfall, where you can relax or enjoy a refreshing swim.
Return to the village and spend another peaceful evening with the Karen community.
Day 3: Summit of Doi Inthanon & Pha Chor Canyon
After breakfast, travel to the summit of Doi Inthanon (2,565 m), the highest point in Thailand.
Visit the King and Queen Pagodas and pay respect at the King’s monument, while enjoying breathtaking mountain views.
After lunch, visit Pha Chor Canyon in Mae Wang National Park. Formed by the ancient Ping River changing its course, the area is now filled with dramatic 30-meter cliffs and soil pillars – a natural wonder.
Return to Chiang Mai in the late afternoon.

Enjoy lunch in the village.
Begin a 2-3 hours bamboo rafting adventure down the Mae Taeng River. Swim, relax, and take in the peaceful natural scenery.
Return to Chiang Mai in the late afternoon and drop off at the hotel.
